I know that you have celebrities like Janelle Monae who are trying out this whole '50's era' look but personally I think that she's over doing it with the white brouges and then the white shirt with nothing but a black tuxedo, it's starting to look penguin. It would look very fashion-sista if you decided to put on some killer black heels instead of the brogues which people claim Alexa Chung and Fearne Cotton own. I think Daine Birch on the other hand has her style settled although she is missing some biker boots in her wardrobe...so is Blake Lively. Thankfully Leighton Meister has caught on with this trend and pulls it off very well with her denim shorts. Unfortunatly for me my father did not think it was appriprieate for staying in the first class lounge, which we never visisted anyway. Lifes not all gravy.

Y'KNOW.

Blogger, what I've learnt in the last couple of hours I've been doing this is that I need to tag. I've been researching some of my favorite style icons and to find the best shots I've been looking on here and finding some pretty cool blogs. Yes, I'm a follower now.
I've learnt that I need to wake up as well, it's only what? 10,30? I've been up since 7,40 been walking all day. So I have an excuse.
Over the next week and a bit I'm in this town I'm going to try and bring my camera everywhere and get photo's of clothes I like and develop them into some kind of mood board so I can see where my idea's are heading.
I'll research the up-coming market and find out what trends are coming in so I can finally figure out what I'm doing or if it's even worth it. I need some money and it seems like, although stressful at first, the best way to do it as it seems fun.
Wanna know what I'm going to buy with my first pay? A McDonalds and maybe my boyfriend an iPhone.

I FEEL AN ART URGE.
AND I WAS CURRENTLY TALKING ABOUT THIS TO MY LOVELY BOYO, I drew lastnight for a while I drew the advertising picture for UJ jeans, and to top it off I was very proud of it. I think I did rather well to be frank.
I am doing an art NYLON project and for all of you who think you have explored the world of fashion and not heard of NYLON there is a completely different world when you read into the depths and thoughts which NYLON creates. It's utterly fabulous.
It's not just the words or even the fashion fitorials, I think it's the thoughts which you branch off from it the way it makes you want to grab your dreams and to add onto that I think it's great that it shows this through the brands it shows in it example shall we? DIESEL and there 'be stupid' campgain.

london

Dozen of beeps, footsteps and hearing the end of the conversations. But not one hello, people aren't like that in London, doesn't stop my mind wondering in all the possibilities and things I could do there. London is my kind of place, I know my way round some places and I could spend my life on Oxford Street.
I love the different styles, and how I can look at the big frames (you know the clear lenses) and be like 'well mine are real'. The style which I love, minus the obvious hair flicking and wears shirt guys, there is a style which is just like, which I've just noticed.
Chinese guys, brown cache shorts, white tight v-neck tops (showing a gorgeous bod) or a fred perry polo along with white plimsolls. LAAAVE
thats all, i had so much to right, but scrubs is making me pay attention to it.

LISTEN UP Y'ALLLL

Today ladies and gentlemen, I had a brainstorm, personal mind mapping whatever you want to call it. Well, this all started after watching Junior Apprentice on Wednesday night, followed by re-watching it on Friday night. And it got me thinking. I could do that, I could do amazing at that (not being cocky, but it's true).
I would like to own my own shop, starting on the Internet first and then expand out and go to events like...the clothes show live (dream or what?!). I suppose this really does fail for my idea of working on magazines, I suppose I was just lost in the blur of Nylon. I suppose it still is my inspiration, makes my heart tick as the colors hit me in the face. Oh, what an experience.
I know it will be hard, but if I start saving now I could have my own little business by the time I am late 15. I am a dreamer right? Well, I think I could- even if at first it's not rolling by posting things on facebook and handing out leaflets I'd have a word out in no time.
I really hope this works out, my own little fashion store on the net. I would love to one day have my own little shop, and clothes while playing lots of songs which I can share the love with my customers. But oh if that doesn't work, I guess I will have to just push even harder. Because like Walt Disney says "dreams will come true"

oh, at that I will have to say - I am going to go in for the apprentice when I am old enough, junior one (Y)

THE LAST SONG

The hair, crocced topped tee's, ripped jeans and trashy necklaces is just my stuff. After watching the last song, I was pretty in love with the clothes Miley Cyrus wore, even though she has some of this clothes in real life I like her style in it. The clothes suit her, but having your bra hanging out of your tee can be seemed as trashy. I don't that like that, an underwear is giving you a boost but doesn't look great from a t-shirt. Leave it inside honey, you can only do that if you just pair it with a blazer. Pair it with a blazer, I dare you. I'm going to post and name some looks here which I looks which I like pretty damn soon. That's all I have time for, project runway is on :)

BE YOUR SELF YEAH?

Apart from my mother commenting on the clothes I wear, I have been told that I have a unique style along with this other chick who has some rather interesting tastes; either you love them or you hate them, she always pulls them off. You then think about how we have a different look, because of the clothes we wear, the way we do our hair and make-up. When we are actually the ones with homes swarming full of fashion magazines from: Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Nylon and various other fashion magazines. Now think how we're choosing our own fashion pathways rather then taking a route which has been set out. It's because in these magazines we're not told what we should wear because it's in, we're told about the styles which will be in the stores in months to come because these designers make all that is in, in stores like top-shop, river island and new look. We're shown different styles from the past, e.g.. Nylon April '10 mentions the clothes Amy wears in Honey I Shrunk The Kids. These magazines are also telling us about new designers which read the same way we do now and how they interpreted it to an 'aboriginal to run dmc to samurai' (hemistone clothing). The magazines are showing us to look out and not just follow the trends because there is so much unseen talent out there, they're not telling us to wear that your hair like that, they're giving you a chance to see different ways. Which is a different to your 'Look' and 'Now' magazines where the fashion pages are telling you wear this it's hot, every one else is wearing it, it's in. They're not giving you a change to be different and breath while being fresh in your clothes; they're showing what's in the high-street but not the funky different things they sell, because these magazines- to steal a quote- "are not risking it for the biscuit." With the in-clothes you can have confidence because you feel you're getting it right, but being daring and showing you have some guts while wearing your confidence is much more appealing. You're a trend-setter not a follower, the two things which are very alike which I have learnt from my favorite fashion magazine- Nylon, is: @it's sticking to what suits you best makes you iconic, not hiding behind a mask" (written in the article 'just peaches' by 'Peaches Geldolf' talking about the different styles of make-up from the past from Boy George - Twiggy- Dita Von Teese - her ex Marilyn Manson, saying they may be your icon but being your self is iconic and the other in the Nylon Diary Vol. 52 from a promotion box for Customized Girl wrote: "say what you want, be creative and ALWAYS be yourself."
